I've let my Project 365 slip for a while - partly I've just been so busy in other areas, partly because I've suffered from inspiration withdrawal. But this one has made my day....

My girl is feeling a little low. Too much work, about ready for a couple of weeks holiday. She must poorly, she's letting me snap away.

Project 365 Day 93

This started out as a conversation with a good friend yesterday: the power of negative space.

in essence, the power of the empty area highlights and enhances the story of the subject (the positive space). A great example of this is the classic image of an athlete - usually there is a space in front of them in the image for them to 'move into'. This is the negative space and allows the motion to be seen.

I might - maybe - have taken this to the extreme...

Project 365 Day 89

So things have been a bit busy this past week and I've slipped / missed / delayed uploading to Project 365. As a break from my more typical b&w, I thought having bright, poppy colours would suit today's shot better.

One of the nicest guys I've ever met. Seriously: I've never left a conversation with him less happy or more wound up than I started it as. Special colour-splash to highlight his wife's "retirement tie" gift

I saw this great sign in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire. I love the pun as much as the faded paintwork.

I loved the contrast in today's shot, the hard brick and soft flower, the square fencing and curvy leaves...

This one sums up my family life right now. We've resisted games consoles for a while but then they discovered Minecraft...

Project 365 Day 79

My friend warned me this would happen. "By mid-March" he said "you'll hit a slump". And I have.

ive found it really difficult to get the camera out this past week, so today I threw on a different lens and got a different perspective. The result is four great shots today and difficulty choosing which to post.

in the end I've chosen Brian. He's looking a bit healthier today and the warmer weather is certainly helping.

I've been struggling this past week so haven't made it to the gym. Today, though, I managed some gentle stretching and supportive comments for Chris.
